It's estimated that physicians experience an average of 20% no shows from their scheduled appointments, resulting in a significant loss of revenue. Appointments might easily be forgotten, but a physician's payroll and overhead aren't. The e-IVR Appointment Reminder is an automated notification application, designed to deliver appointment information by phone, email, or fax. The out-call option places the call and delivers a recorded message, interspersed with the appointment specifics. The patient is given the choice to confirm, cancel, or reschedule (by transferring to someone in scheduling). No-contact calls (busy or ring-no-answer) can be retried twice at 15 minute intervals.
