The Intermec IP3 is an RFID reader attachment for the Intermec 700 Series of Mobile Computers. Simply attach the IP3 to any 700 Series Computer to read and write RFID tags at UHF frequencies. The IP3 can read 105 mm RFID tags at up to 6 tags/second, and can write at 31ms/byte per tag, giving you fast, accurate read/write capability. Since the IP3 is used with the 700 Series Mobile Computer, users can read and write RFID information while moving throughout a warehouse, storeroom or factory, plus transmit the data back to a network via the 700 Series' wireless connection.
Physical Description
The RFID reader handle is a snap-on, high-impact plastic and magnesium trigger handle accessory that adds the capability to read and to write to Intellitag RFID tags to all Intermec 700 Series Color Mobile Computers.

Identify, Read & Write Examples*
Configured for U.S. FCC Part 15 operation at a distance of 50% of the maximum read range. Identifies up to 6 tags per second. The reader can retain up to 100 tag ID's in volatile memory. Reads a tag (8 bytes of data) within 12 ms Performs a verified write at an average rate of 31ms per byte, per tag.

Range Performance Examples*
With FCC unlicensed operation scanner/programmer and dual antenna configuration. Writes up to 70% of read range. UHF -- Reads at 1.5 meters with a single antenna and 105-mm tag.
