The scanner supports various power sources, including a battery-free supercapacitor or a conventional lithium-ion battery, both available in contactless models. Utilizing supercapacitors instead of a battery, the battery-free technology achieves a full charge in under four minutes through a USB port (under 60 seconds with a powered USB port or external wall adapter). The Xenon Ultra 1962h typically offers at least 450 UPC/EAN scans per charge, making it perfect for bedside scanning tasks such as administering medications or collecting specimens.
