The innovative Cordless Hand Scanner 7P from Socket combines Class-2 laser barcode scanning and the convenience of Bluetooth wireless technology in a single, compact, lightweight device that is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand. Cordless Hand Scanner 7P features Fuzzy Logic scanning technology for reading damaged, poor quality or hard-to-read barcode labels in the harshest conditions. Cordless Hand Scanner 7P can even read VIN barcodes through car windshields outdoors in broad daylight. The Class 1 Bluetooth radio provides a maximum range of 330 ft. (100 m). Powered by 2 rechargeable AAA NiMH batteries, Cordless Hand Scanner 7P offers an expected battery life of 8,000 scans under normal operating conditions. SocketScan keyboard emulation software sends scanned data into any Windows, Palm, Symbian or RIM program. The exclusive error-proof protocol prevents errors in wireless transmission of data to the host computer with real-time data validation. The device also incorporates a built-in stylus tip for PDA touchscreens and a battery status warning light.
