The WhereTag IV allows flexible RF transmission intervals, which can be programmed from four seconds up to several hours. Its power output can be tailored to suit different application environments as well. Utilizing the globally accepted 2.4 GHz frequency band and Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) technology, the WhereTag IV maximizes both range and battery longevity. In ISO/IEC 24730-2 mode, the battery can last for as long as seven years, and up to five years in CCX and multimode operations. Triggered by a low-frequency magnetic signal from a WherePort exciter, the device can adjust its pre-set blink rate and pinpoint proximity (localization) to a specific WherePort. These exciters can also initiate changes between ISO/IEC 24730-2 mode, Wi-Fi mode (CCX compliant), or multimode within a range of up to 7.5 meters. There is also an Intrinsically Safe (IS) version for usage in hazardous and explosive environments, certified for Class 1, Division 1, Groups A-D, T6. The WhereTag IV empowers Zebra Location Solutions, an industry leader in RTLS, to offer tailored technology and solutions to meet various application requirements.
