The DS9908-HD features a one-of-a-kind hybrid form factor that provides ease of use in both handheld and hands-free scanning of barcodes and RFID in the lab. In hands-free mode, the DS9900 Series for Labs automatically limits the scan range to prevent unintentional scanning of nearby items. Handheld and presentation applications have different scanning requirements. In handheld mode, the scan range of the DS908-HD is extended to easily reach items in a cart or on a table. In presentation mode, the scan range is limited to prevent unintentional scanning of nearby items. The DS9908-HD is designed to endure the rigors of everyday use with IP52 sealing (non RFID model), elevated electronics to protect against accidental spills, features a 5 ft./1.5 m drop specification (non RFID model) and has a five-year warranty. The ergonomic handle and a well-balanced design make the DS9908-HD remarkebly easy to aim in handheld mode.
